About Les Kotzer

Les has been practicing wills and estates law since 1989 with the Law Firm of Fish & Associates. He has been practicing with fellow author and lawyer, Barry Fish ever since.

Medal

LES received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his work in the area of wills and for protecting families.

Les graduated, on the Dean’s List, with a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Windsor Law in 1987. He was called to the bar in 1989.

Les is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Les is co-author of four books. The Family Fight… Planning to Avoid It, The Family War… Winning the Inheritance Battle and Where There’s An Inheritance… Stories from Inside the World of Two Wills Lawyers and The Wills Lawyers… Their Stories of Money, Inheritance, Family, Greed and Betrayal.

Les is a regular guest on TV and radio across North America. He has been featured on CTV national news as a Canadian success story. Watch the video here.

Les has been featured in a number of written publications over the years as well. Some of these are The National Post, The Toronto Star, The New York Times, Time Magazine, Newsweek and Fortune Magazine. He has also co-authored many articles in newspapers and magazines including GOODHOUSEKEEPING Magazine.

Les is also a professional songwriter. One of his songs ‘These Are Our Heroes’ was part of a documentary that won the gold medal at the 2007 Houston Film Festival. Another of his songs ‘Photos In a Drawer’ has also made it to radio. His latest song, with Lewis Manne and Wendy Watson “Crying to the Moon”, can be heard by clicking here.
